Toy Fair ’18 Highlight: Finders Keypers (Alter Ego)

I first met with Alter Ego and took a look at their Finders Keypers line of statues back at last year’s New York Comic Con. A line of plastic statues, these pieces geared towards kids and adults alike feature a spot where on can put keys, and each statue includes a special, exclusive key ring.

Back in October, the Beauty and the Beast statue was still in prototype phase. However, this past weekend at Toy Fair, the completed statue, all ready to go, was on display. Features a storybook key ring.

Also on display were two painted prototypes in the works for release this year: a cartoon version of Deadpool (I believe based on artwork from Marvel artist Skottie Young) and fun version of Stitch. It looks like the Deadpool key ring will be his logo.

The paperwork given out at the booth shows the concept art for the final Stitch version, which shows a very fun and imaginative base, and a Scrump key ring.

Also in the booth paperwork was a look at the Lightning McQueen from the Cars franchise. It looks like a fiery “95” logo will be this key ring.

Being only a couple of years old, I see a fun future for this Finders Keypers line of statues. not only do they serve a great purpose as a spot for your keys, the statues themselves are of a great quality and collectiblity. Great job to the team at Alter Ego.
