Darth Vader #13 Review

Darth Vader #13 kicks off a new story, where the Empire is investigating stirrings of Rebellion on the Mon Cala system.  This issue also features Darth Vader’s inquisitors, The Emperor and Wilhuff Tarkin.

The issue kicks off with a dream scene with a recreation of the ending of “Revenge Of The Sith”, but with Darth Vader winning, which has some stunning artwork and its so interesting to see inside “Anakin’s” head.  This is one of the great things I like about this series, developing Darth Vader between “A New Hope” and “Revenge Of The Sith”, as the major villain.

I also love the way this series focuses more on the Empire, the internal struggles, especially between Tarkin and Vader.

I’m also wondering if this series will be incorporated into the main Star Wars comic book, which has also recently started a story on Mon Cala.

OVERALL:

Another fantastic issue of the Darth Vader series, which is very easily become my favourite Star Wars comic book of the year, it always delivers something great and this issue is no different.
