Several Downtown Disney Businesses to Close

With Disney set to start building work on its new 700 room four-diamond hotel at Disneyland, they’ve announced that they will be closing down many businesses in the Downtown Area and that they will be closed by June 30, with demolition slated to begin in early July.  Some of the businesses may close earlier.

Here is a list of the businesses closing at Downtown Disney:

  • AMC 12 Theatres
  • Rainforest Cafe
  • ESPN Zone
  • Earl of Sandwich
  • Alamo Rent-a-Car
  • Starbucks (only the west side location)
  • Two Disney businesses – Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney Travel – will continue to operate in other resort locations.

 

 

It’s unknown if any of the closed businesses will reopen elsewhere in Anaheim, Downtown Disney or in the new hotel.
