Disney Store To Stop Using Plastic Bags

To celebrate Earth Day, and to encourage reusability, Disney store announced today that they will be exiting the use of plastic shopping bags from all North American stores, beginning in May 2018.

The switch to reusable bags will be implemented at Disney’s 215 retail stores.

In addition, on Sunday April 22nd, Guests will receive an exclusive Disney branded reusable bag as a gift with purchase while quantities last. Moving forward, Guests will have the opportunity to purchase a Disney branded medium or large reusable bag for $.99.

This follows a global trend of companies and governments trying reducing plastic usage.
