LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon Pedicab Hits Streets of NYC

In celebration of May the 4th (Star Wars Day) and the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story releasing later this month, the master builders at LEGO challenged themselves to do something they have never done before: building a model completely out of LEGO bricks that one can actually ride!

Unveiling today at Bryant Park in NYC, LEGO is proud to present the Millennium Falcon Pedicab!

Some fun facts about this Pedicab model.

  • It took LEGO Master Builders 396 hours to design and build
  • The model contains 20,300 LEGO bricks
  • It measures 9 feet long and 6 feet wide

Additionally, LEGO is also encouraging fans to snap and post photos of the massive model using the hashtags #LEGOStarWars and #RoarForChange to drive charitable donations. It’s a global challenge from Lucasfilm and Star Wars: Force for Change that supports UNICEF’s lifesaving work for children around the world. Between May 3 – 25, 2018, Star Wars: Force for Change will donation $1 to UNICEF for each public post, like, or share on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that includes #RoarForChange.

So get on that social media, everyone!

Keep an eye out later today when we will update this post to show pics from the Pedicab in action at Bryant Park.
