Star Wars The Black Series Lando Calrissian Review
With the new Solo: A Star Wars Story movie hitting cinemas later this month, Hasbro have recently released a new wave of Black Series action figures based on the movie.
The new younger looking Lando Calrissian is played by Donald Glover, he has a crisp look that makes him look very fancy, especially with his bright yellow shirt and flowing cape.
This figure has some incredible detail, especially on the face. It is easily one of the best faces I’ve seen on an action figure and makes it a stand out from this wave.
It does come with a few different accessories, the cape looks great when the arms are positioned straight down, but does pop off or rides up the figure if the arms are slightly raised, which is a disappointment, it might have worked better as a cloth cape, rather than rigid plastic. However the scarf is a nice little touch and really makes the character stand out, especially with it contrasting with the bright yellow shirt.
But its the gun accessory that stands out as the weakest aspect of this figure, it split into two pieces half way through the barrel, making it feel very flimsy, which I wasn’t expecting. But if you’re just using the figure for display purposes, this won’t be much of an issue, but will be useless for playing with.
There are lots of different points of articulation, which allow for some fun poses, even if a few of the positions like the chest and upper thigh aren’t physically possible!
Here is my video review of this action figure:
Here is a closer look at this Lando figure:
A fantastic figure, it captures the new younger looking Lando perfectly. I love the facial expression and the overall look of the character in contrasting black and yellow. However the accessories slightly lower my thoughts on the action figure by a little.
