Disney Store Becomes ShopDisney Across Europe

Today saw Disney relaunch it’s European Disney Store websites including DisneyStore.co.uk into ShopDisney, which follows a similar move that the US side of the business did last year.

The launch of the website wasn’t as smooth as Disney might have wanted, with the site being in “maintenance” mode, for the majority of the working day, going live a few hours after it was originally supposed to.

However, the site is now fully operational (my order went through without any issues) and along with a site, that is very similar to its US counterpart, it also brings with it hundreds of new products.  Many of these are Disneyland Paris products, which were sorely missing from the previous version.

I’m really hoping this new push by Disney to include more Park related products is going to see more products available to European customers, plus offering newer products quicker or on the same day as the US site.  Often products go on sale days, weeks or months after the US (though some do go online early).

There are many more products available from brands such as LEGO, Hasbro, Clarks, plus a larger push of adult clothing, toys and much more.

With hundreds of new products available, I’d suggest going over and taking a look to see if there is anything new, I picked up a Wall-E Earth Day Pop Vinyl and a Nightmare Before Christmas Toybox action figure along with a few other products to review later this month.

As traditional stores continue to close as customers move to online shopping, it makes sense for Disney to push more products directly, though I would still love Disney to rethink their Free Delivery level of £50, as I often wait until I need a few items before ordering, compared to other companies who offer Free Shipping on any purchase or at least lower purchase limits.

Fingers crossed the new ShopDisney European sites continue to add new products regularly for us Disney fans.
