Infinity Wars #2 Review

The second issue of this 6 piece mini series sees many of the top Marvel superheroes brought together due to the Infinity Stones, with Gamora intent on taking them all, by any means possible.

This issue is pretty messed up, seeing Gamora in full blown villain mode is shocking, especially when she meets Star-Lord, but the use of the flashback scenes help set the tone, fill in the backstory and further expand the relationship between her and Thanos.

There are some great scenes in this issue, with lots of action, especially with showing the Infinity stones in action.  It’s also great to see so many heroes involved, but there are too many of them, especially the addition of the villains, who were worthless.

One of my problems with this series, is the artwork, it’s got a grainy style and the artists use too many frames, especially when they don’t need to, such as breaking up larger images.

But the biggest issue with this mini series is I just don’t think anything will stick, they’ve even mentioned it during the story about redoing things and resetting time, so whatever seems to be the direction for this story arc, it could all be wiped out.  And with so many spinoff issues coming out of this series, I’m not simply not excited about them, which isn’t good when this main series is suppose to be doing the opposite!

OVERALL:   Infinity Wars #2 feels like a big blockbuster, full of superheroes and big action, but is just an average story since nothing will stick.
