Review: Disney’s Descendants 3 Dolls (Hasbro)

The newest movie in the Disney Channel’s hit Descendants franchise, Descendants 3, comes out August 2. Centered around the children of some of the famous Disney Villains, including Maleficent, the Evil Queen, and Cruella DeVil, these musicals have become a hit with both children and family’s alike. To celebrate the third film’s release, Hasbro has come out with a set of dolls, ranging from basic to deluxe. The team at Hasbro sent me a few of the dolls to review for the site. Let’s take a look.

In my review pack was one basic doll with Celia, two high articulation dolls with Mal and Evie, and finally the deluxe Dragon Queen Mal. Let’s take a closer look.

Celia

A new character in the series, Celia is the daughter of Dr. Facilier, the villain in The Princess and the Frog. Her doll has basic articulation in the neck, shoulders, and hips.

Mal

Mal, daughter of Sleeping Beauty‘s Maleficent, is the main character in the film series. Here she is in a high articulation doll, with additional articulation points in elbows, wrists, and more.

Evie

Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, has been in both previous movies. She is a fashion designer, so she is always wearing fashion trending designs, and her dolls is no different.

Note: Hasbro states on its’ packaging that dolls do not stand up by themselves. While this is true, for my review I was able to get them to stand up on their own will long enough to snap a few shots.

Dragon Queen Mal

Mal is here in her Dragon Queen form (spoiler?), with a horned headdress similar to her mother’s and movable wings.

Overall, I feel that this will be a fun collection for fans of the Descendants 3 movie and the franchise. Thanks again to the team at Hasbro for sending these dolls over for me to share a look at with you.
