Ways To Tune Out Frozen 2 Before Thanksgiving

Frozen 2 has come out, on the same weekend as A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood. It promises to fix the flaws of the first movie and improve already beautiful animation. What’s more, we get some more world-building.

I’m trying to avoid hearing the news. Frozen for me was a movie that had great promotion and songs, but a rather shallow story. It has since been a cause of anxiety. I doubt that the sequel can win me over. But it’s everywhere.

How to avoid the promotion and the songs:

  1. Skim the deviation novel Conceal, Don’t Feel at the bookstore when you notice that it’s a different timeline that may actually give Elsa more action and reduce Anna. It’s not enough for you to get past the book jacket and you make a beeline for the new Wizards of Once book that has been out for a few days.
  2. View the GIFs on Tumblr with a crooked expression of indulgence before going to the next post. There are filters you can put to block but I only have them on my desktop and not on my phone.
  3. Tell your friends who are going to see it that you hope they have fun and enjoy the movie. You don’t need to rain on their parade when we are all stressed in the world and need small joys.
  4. Plan your director’s cut story that would fix your issues with the film and pray for a miracle that you can actually finish it. Just because you fall short every time doesn’t mean it’s a disaster!

If none of these are possible, the best plan is to bear down until the positive word of mouth passes. Thanksgiving is tomorrow, after all, and more distractions will follow. You can survive this. After all, I am.
