Review: Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival Part 3

Note: This is the third, and final, part of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Click here to read my previous reviews: Part 1 & Part 2.

Well, here it is. This is my final part of my review of the Flower & Garden Festival for this year. It’s sad to think that there are so many guests that won’t be able to experience this festival with Walt Disney World now closed “until further notice”. With the festival scheduled to run until the beginning of June, there is hope that some guests will be able to visit Epcot before it ends. However, with things changing in this world daily, who knows. I am happy that I was able to experience the festival myself, and happy that I can share this with you all.

In this part of the review, I will take a quick look at some of the gardens, talk about the Garden Rocks concerts, and touch on a few things to tidy up my coverage. Let’s get to it.

The Gardens

Throughout Epcot, numerous gardens have been set up. These gardens either focus on an idea, a country, or… an insect. Yes, an insect… and it’s probably one of my favorite places in the festival. Here is a look at a handful of the gardens I visited during the festival. If there happens to be a pest in the garden, Don’t neglect your pest problem and schedule an appointment with Drake Lawn & Pest Control today.

The Goodness Garden Butterfly House

Although there were a lot of butterflies out and about and active inside the garden, there were still plenty more to emerge from their cocoons. It’s a great experience, and very educational for kids who want to learn about butterflies. I am not a fan of the new location, near The Land due to construction. However, I do hope that they find a way to incorporate a better area in the new design of the World Celebration area.

Outdoor Escapes

Located in Future World East near the entrance to the old Mouse Gears, this new garden area showcases what can be done with very little “green” space.

Festival Blooms & Floating Gardens

Probably the two gardens most photographed during this festival. I always love how the landscaping crews make these picturesque gardens look amazing.

Bo Peep’s Playtime Training Grounds & Play Full Garden

Two children play areas, one themed to Toy Story 4 and the other just a fun place for kids to exercise.

Shakespeare Garden

Located in the UK pavilion, this small garden celebrates one of the greatest English writers, William Shakespeare.

English Tea Garden

Also located in the UK Pavilion, this garden, presented by Twinings of London, celebrates tea. As this location you can take a few different tours: the Royal Tea Garden Tour, the English Tea Garden Tour, and the Self-Guided Tea Tour.

Inside Living with the Land

Within the Living with the Land ride, the greenhouses showcase a bunch of gardens for the festival. While technically they are year round, it’s still one of my favorite places at any time of the year.

Chinese Zodiac Topiary Garden

Featuring small topiaries of ten of the twelve  Chinese Zodiac animals, this is a fun little garden at the China Pavilion.

Miniature Gardens

Located in Germany, this garden celebrates the Germany Pavilions popular miniature train exhibit but creating some gardens within the pavilaion.

Bonsai Garden

Passholder Magnets

As a thanks for Annual Passholders that visit Epcot during the festival, Disney is giving out special commemorative magnet, with designs exclusive to that festival. This year, there are two:

March 4th – April 19th: Donald Duck with Spike the Bee

April 20th – June 1st: Orange Bird

NOTE: With everything currently shut down, I do not know what will happen to these dates when/if the festival resumes. I was able to get the Donald magnet, and I hope I can somehow get the Orange Bird one.

“Epcot Forever” Fireworks

The placeholder nighttime show until HarmonioUS debuts, Epcot Forever is a roughly 10 minute fireworks, lights, and illuminated kite show centered around World Showcase, and set to memorable songs, moments, and characters throughout Epcot’s 38 year history.

Garden Rocks Concert Series

Located in the America Gardens Theatre at The American Adventure Pavilion, this concert series feature a new artist every 2-3 days. While we were enjoying the festival, we got to listen to both Peabo Bryson and The Orchestra, which featured former members of ELO. While Peabo seemed to draw a crowd and kept everyone entertained, The American Adventure Pavilion was absolutely electric when The Orchestra performed. They played some great music created by ELO, and my friends loved that most of all.

The Epcot Experience Mural

One thing I forgot to share the other day while talking about the Epcot Experience was this mural, which is concept art of Epcot after all of the construction is completed. I love how it’s reminiscent of the concept art from the original build of Epcot. It highlights a lot of the new attractions, expansions, and offerings coming to the park. I wanted to make sure you guys saw parts of it.

Well, there it is. My review of this year’s Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. I hope you enjoyed it. Keep an eye out over the coming weeks as I not only post more reviews and coverage from my Walt Disney World trip, but also finishing up coverage of last month’s Toy Fair, which got delayed due to the vacation and coming home to the pandemic.

I would love to hear what you thought of my coverage and of the festival below. Wishing everyone a great week ahead.
