Lion King & Aladdin On Broadway Announce Return Dates

In a hopeful sign that the worst of the pandemic is behind us, Disney on Broadway announced today that The Lion King and Aladdin will return to the stage on September 14 and September 28, respectively.

The news comes just days after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo shared the news, which was later confirmed by The Broadway League, a trade association.

Recovery is moving quicker in Britain. London’s West End will see The Lion King returns July 29 to the Lyceum Theatre, Mary Poppins reopens August 7 at the Prince Edward Theatre, and previews of Frozen the Musical begin August 27.

An official UK and Ireland tour of Beauty and the Beast begins August 25. It’s been “spectacularly reimagined” by the original creative team.
