Haunted Mansion and Bento Boxes among the Newest Disney Book Releases: July 13

Painted rocks, Bento box, haunted mansions and Phantom Menaces all are part of this week’s top new Disney books, as is a tome about Captain America.

All of the titles were released today, except for the book about Winnie the Pooh, which arrives this Thursday.

 

Disney Rock Painting

A how-to book, that comes with stencils for each project. Offered complete with three river rocks, three acrylic paints, three gel pens, two paintbrushes, a permanent market, and a “dotting tool.”

Marvel’s Captain America: The First 80 Years

The book offers in-depth looks at individual, milestone issues, as well as offering the usual medley of covers, story art, facts and figures.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The story of Jack and Halloweentown is summarized in this book for the youngest readers in your family. This is the first adaptation of the book, for the a Little Golden Book line.

The Haunted Mansion

There’s a lot of Halloween-themed books on the way, and this is one of the first to hit shelves. Timed to the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, this book takes young readers through all of the ride’s classic scenes. The story focuses around a boy who ventures in, by himself.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Graphic Novel Adaptation

An all-ages graphic novel, by an artist with a variety of past titles based on Disney properties. The artist adapted both the prequels and original trilogy as graphic novels in 2016, for the international market. There’s a good preview of the books on StarWars.com.

A collection of 12 stories, from Disney Press.

Disney Bento: Fun Recipes for Bento Boxes!

This new paperback is by a teacher and blogger whose son is a picky eater. Her bento have won awards, and received extensive coverage in Japan. There’s 50 recipes in all, in this book.
