Review: Star Wars R2-D2 & C-3PO Die Cast Cars (Hot Wheels)

For today’s review, I take a look at two of the Star Wars Character Cars released by Hot Wheels. Featuring the two original droids from the Star Wars franchise of movies, here are R2-D2 & C-3P0.

In this diecast 2pk, R2-D2 is featured on a bubble top hot rod, and C-3P0 on a drag bus. The cars are weathered similarly to each droid when they are in possession of the Jawas in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

I received this piece as a gift last year for the holidays. The packaging has a copyright of 2014. I am not sure how long this 2pk was manufactured for, but it is safe to say that the only option to add this piece to your collection if you wanted to is through the secondary market. I’m sure that’s where my friend who gifted it to me got it from.
