Pop! Review: Beauty and the Beast’s Wardrobe (2021 Summer Convention Exclusive)

For today’s review, I check out one of the Funko x Disney exclusives that was released last summer during the “Summer Convention” (aka what usually is San Diego Comic Con). While this piece of furniture wasn’t one of the main household items in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, there were a few scenes that she stole with her hilarity and boisterousness. Here is the Wardrobe.

In addition to having the “2021 Summer Convention” sticker, the Wardrobe is also in special Disney’s Beauty and the Beast 30th Anniversary packaging. The movie was released in 1991, and is considered one of the films of the “Disney Renaissance” period. Three years later in 1994, BatB became the first Disney Broadway Musical, and ushered in a whole new way for audiences to enjoy Disney crafted storytelling. In the Broadway musical, the Wardrobe is called “Madame de la Grande Bouche”, or “Madame Big Mouth”. This character also plays a big part on the Enchanted Tales with Belle attraction at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park.

This is such a fun sculpt, showing the Wardrobe in action getting an outfit out and ready for Belle to wear. In fact, it’s Belle’s winter outfit featured in the “Something There” scene.
