Lorcana To Debut At The D23 Expo 2022 With Exclusive Set

Ravensburger has announced that the first six Disney Lorcana trading cards will be available during the upcoming D23 Expo event, which is taking place in Anaheim, California, in September 2022.

This brand-new game will be released in Fall 2023 and features beloved Disney characters in both original and reimagined art styles that live in an all-new world with unique and magical gameplay.

Rooted in the magic of Disney characters and storytelling, Disney Lorcana is easy to learn for TCG newcomers while still offering strategic depth for experienced players to help create opportunity for more people to enjoy the excitement and fun of TCGs. Disney fans will enjoy the beautiful illustrations, overarching storyline, and playing with their favorite characters in new and novel ways, while veteran TCG players will also appreciate the thoughtful and unique gameplay mechanics that Ravensburger is known to deliver.

The game is set in the rich and fantastical world of Lorcana, a combination of the words Lore and Arcana. Players will take on the mantle of Illumineer, a powerful sorcerer, and band together Disney characters from Lorcana’s “The Great Illuminary,” a treasury of all Disney songs and stories ever made.

The D23 Expo Collector’s Set includes the following six cards:

Stitch – Rock Star (Illus. Simangaliso Sibaya)
Elsa – Snow Queen (Illus. Nicholas Kole)
Cruella de Vil – Miserable as Usual (Illus. Nicholas Kole)
Maleficent – Monstrous Dragon (Illus. Luis Huerta)
Robin Hood – Unrivaled Archer (Illus. John Loren)
Captain Hook – Forceful Duelist (Illus. Marcel Berg)

Each has foil treatment, plus each card features a D23 and first edition logos at the bottom. The cards will also be available in Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter, when the game is officially released, but they just won’t feature the D23 logo on the card.
