Breaking: New Disney Imagineering Series to Debut Tomorrow, YouTube
Moments ago, Disney released a trailer for a previously unannounced YouTube series, We Call It Imagineering. Named after a quote from Walt Disney himself on a broadcast of the Disneyland anthology TV series, it will stream on Imagineering’s own YouTube starting April 4.
Inspired by how Walt took us along during the development of Disneyland, this new series brings you into the creative and design journey as we turbocharge our Disney Experiences. We can’t wait to bring you along as Disney Imagineers create these innovative new experiences for the next decade and beyond!
While there’s undoubtedly going to be sneak peeks at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, we’re eager to see what else is covered. The series host claims it will include things “that no one else has gotten to see,” a tall order. One of the shots to flick past is of the Peter Pan section, set to open at Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs.
Among the glimpses, this schematic of Emily, an animatronic. Is this Emily, the girl who abandoned Jessie in Toy Story 2? Probably not. Does this mean there’s an attraction with original characters in our future?
