Upcoming Disney PEZ Designs Revealed: Stitch, Maui, Jack Skellington included

Despite the enduring popularity of Experiment 626, Stitch has never been made into a true PEZ dispenser. He’s been a Funko Pop PEZ, certainly, as DisKingdom reported in 2019. But those collector treats were far from common.

All that will change in January 2025, PEZ Collectors Store reports, in the May edition of their monthly newsletter. Both the mischievous blue alien and best friend Lilo are to get a proper release. Then in September, Giant PEZ of both characters will hit specialty store shelves.

The January release may also hint toward when the live action Lilo & Stitch film on Disney+ will be released.

With Captain America: Brave New World delayed to 2025, its newly resculpted dispenser has been delayed to January 2025. A “twin pack” based on The Nightmare Before Christmas will debut in July 2025. No word of which characters, but it’s safe to presume Jack and Sally. Disney+ darling Bluey will be released as a twin pack and gift tin in September, the same month the Nightmare characters will be re-released in a gift tin.

The Funko POP PEZ in 2019 had also included Nightmare characters, specifically Dapper Jack Skellington, Dapper Sally, Oogie Boogie, Lock, Shock, Barrel, and Vampire Teddy. The Funko POP PEZ line is largely dormant, with only occasionally releases, like 2023’s dispenser of Freddy Funko, a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive.

If you’re looking for a Disney fix sooner than next year, no problem: a month from today, new sculpts of The Lion King characters are available. The same day, June 1, new Donald and Daisy dispensers will be brought into the Mickey and Friends assortment. Maui and Hai Hai PEZ will be released on July 1, to join the existing Moana dispenser. A new sculpt of Tiana will be available August 1.

Four candy dispensers, each with coloured sticks and The Lion King character heads on top.Two candy dispensers sticks, with purple and blue pillars. Daisy Duck and Donald Duck's heads are on top.

PEZ Collectors Store is set to attend the annual Sweets and Snacks Expo, a candy conference where PEZ unveils the prototypes for their dispensers. The event runs May 14 to 16 in Indianapolis.
