Bye Mickey Waffles: Disney Café at UK Department Store Closes

Wednesday, the United Kingdom’s only place to get Mickey waffles closed.

Department store Primark had a large Disney café at their Birmingham location, but it closed May 6. Primark Café with Disney had been open for seven years, opening in April 2019. It debuted with the overall store, located within the former Pavilions Shopping Centre.

In a statement released to local media, Primark commented that it’s as they:

[adapt] our spaces so that each store is best set up to cater to local customer preferences.

As we’ve expanded our own product offering, we are adapting our spaces so that each store is best set up to cater to local customer preferences. As part of this, we have been reviewing our in-store concessions and considering how we maximise and best use the space we have in our stores.

Over the next 12 months customers will start to see the closure of some concessions. These decisions are being informed by the size and location of each store. We’re committed to working with our valued partners to manage this process with care and transparency, supporting them throughout.
