Mexico: Fifth Disney Store Around October, Says Exec

The fifth location of Mexico’s Disney Store opens between late October and early November. Where it’ll be hasn’t been announced.

The news was first reported by Milenio. It was shared by Alfonso Cortina, DCP Director, Country Leader & Retail Mexico for The Walt Disney Company, who notes that Mexico is the seventh most important market for the company. He calls the company’s most important consumer locally “kidults,” noting their willingness to buy high-priced products.

Intriguingly, the standalone stores are actually operated independently of the Disney Store by Liverpool shop-in-shops, he claims.
