Additional Security & Metal Detectors Installed At Walt Disney World & Disneyland.
This week, Disney have implemented some more stronger security measures at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, with Metal Detectors being located at entrances to the parks. So if you are planning on heading to the parks, its recommended to allow a little extra time for checks.
“We continually review our comprehensive approach to security and are implementing additional security measures, as appropriate,” a statement released by Disney said.
Disney have also removed all toy guns for sale from the parks such as Star Wars blasters and guests over the age of 14 will no longer be able to costumes. Additional security has also been added to Universal Studios and Seaworld.
On my last few visits to Disneyland Paris in the last couple of years (before the recent Paris Terrorist attacks), it was very noticeable that security was much tighter than it was in the US, with all guests having to go through metal detectors and bag screening.
What do you think of these new security measures?
