First Look At Lumiere & Cogsworth From The Beauty & The Beast Remake

Disney are set to release a special Blu-Ray/DVD edition for this years 25th Anniverary of Beauty and the Beast, on the new release is some early footage and concept art of the upcoming live action version, which will hit theaters on March 17th, 2017.

This image shows some concept art for Lumiere and Cogsworth, Lumiere will be played by Ewan McGregor and Cogsworth played by Ian McKellen.

And this image from some B-Roll, shows a scene from Gaston’s Tavern, in the background you can see Josh Gad as La Fou (you might know him as Olaf in Frozen) and Luke Evans as Gaston.

Our Take:

At first glance both Lumiere and Cogsworth reminded me of Transformers from the live action versions.  But it’ll be interesting how these will look in the final movie and how they move, so I’m gonna try to put that thought away.  The Gaston Tavern looks as how I’d expect it, Gaston is looking big and everyone is focused on him.  I can’t wait to see more footage of this one.
