Toontown Game Spun-Off with “Hostile Takeover”

There’s a new dark twist to a classic Disney game, kind of.

In 2003, Disney launched a multiplayer game called Toontown, keeping it online until 2013. Not ready to see it go, fans reverse-engineered the game, launching Toontown Rewritten in test mode the same day the original closed. Funded entirely by the founders, and without legacy characters, Disney has left it alone. Rewritten has two million registered account, with reportedly thousands playing at any given time.

There’s a new spin-off to Toontown, newly launched this week: Toontown Hostile Takeover.

Reconnect with your favorite characters as you join the fight against the rising Cog threat, orchestrated by the Chairman himself! Join your fellow Toons in a brand new taskline, meet faces both new and old, express yourself with enhanced customization options, and top it all off with an immersive combat experience!
