Hall of Fame Honor to Legendary ABC Talk Show Producer

If you’ve watched ABC TV series LIVE over the past few decades, you undoubtedly recognize Michael Gelman. A comedic foil to Regis Philbin, he’s been with the show since The Morning Show era, and stayed with it through its six national iterations with Philbin, Kathie Lee Gifford, Kelly Ripa, Michael Strahan, Ryan Seacrest, and Mark Consuelos.

The Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame has honoured this unusual longevity with an induction, 42 years and 9000 hours in.

He was honoured alongside the series Days of Our Lives, Drew Barrymore, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and a number of behind the scenes stars, like digital satellite pioneer Richard A. Foreman, of ABC Radio Networks.
