Japan: Disney Continues to Outdo Itself New Store

Disney’s design team continues to impress with their layouts for the Japanese locations of Disney Store. It seems like every new location of the chain has a slightly different theme, all connected with a very modern but enduring aesthetic.

August 26 was opening day for the location at Osaka’s Shinsaibashi PARCO, the largest store in western Japan. Surrounding the 1500 items stocked is not only a magic storybook that brings visits from the Disney Princesses, but gorgeous sculptures of Stitch, Chip and Dale, Alice and the Cheshire Cat, Sorccerer Mickey, Tigger, John Darling with Lost Boy Cubby.

Seriously, John Darling! Select old school stores had him in displays, but always playing second fiddle to Peter and Wendy, they never had a solo appearance!

Reservations are required at the store up to August 30. Exclusive items are only available while supplies last. The mall also has a “Connections” pop-up shop with Disney artworks.
