Australia, NZ, Singapore, Malaysia Disney Store Sites to Close

Disney Store Asia, a website serving Malaysia and Singapore, as well as Disney Store Australia and Disney Store New Zealand will all close just before midnight local time, September 30.

Websites for Disney Store in the US, Japan, UK & EU, China, Korea, Philippines, and Middle East are not impacted, according to the announcement.

As DisKingdom.com reported at the time, Disney Store opened its Australian and New Zealand websites in June 2022. At launch, products were to be shipped by DHL from their Asia-Pacific warehouse in 3 to 5 days. Previously, both countries were only allowed to purchase through the website shopDisney.co.uk.

Things seemed to be going swimmingly, two years in, with the company opening at warehouse in Truganina, Victoria in summer 2024, to speed up orders.
