Legion TV Series Won’t Cross Over With X-Men Movies
Details have been coming out on the upcoming X-Men TV spinoff TV show, Legion, that it will not cross over with the existing X-Men movies.
On the recent Television Critics Association press tour, FX CEO John Landgraf told reporters that Legion takes place in a parallel universe in which the public is unaware of mutants.
“The US government is in the early days of being aware of mutants, but the public is not,” Landgraf said.
According to the CEO, with the use of parallel universes, they could add current X-Men characters if they desired.
Legion is based on the story of David Haller, who is a schizophrenic young man who discovers that the voices in his head could actually be a symptom of superpowers, and not psychosis.
The show is set to come later in 2016 and so far, Fargo’s Rachel Keller has been cast in a major role, who worked with Fargo creator Noah Hawley who is serving as Legion‘s showrunner, as part of a larger overall deal with FX.
