Toy Fair ’16: Disney & More at Madame Alexander

Today, in continuing with my post Toy Fair coverage, here is a look at some of the pop-culture related dolls.

Disney Princesses

In addition to the new dolls being released above, different dresses for Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel will be released. A new doll will not need to be purchased.

Also carrying over into 2016 were last year’s popular dolls Anna and Elsa.

Nascar

Madame Alexander takes to the track this year with the release of the Danica Patrick doll as well as a look at what the Madame Alexander racer would look like.

Wizard of Oz

Continuing with the popularity of the Wizard of Oz line, this year sees 18″ Doll releases of Glinda (complete with staff not shown) and Dorothy (with Toto). The popular Wendy collection of dolls will also carry over into 2016.

Disney Villains

Wendy gets into the spirit of the Disney Villains with releases of Cruella DeVil, Maleficent, and the Evil Queen.

Minnie Rocks the Dots

Taking a cue from the popular practice to displaying collectibles “in box” the new Minnie Rocks the Dots Wendy doll comes in a newly designed window packaging.

DC Comics

Continuing into 2016, the popular DC Comics line adds a Harley Quinn, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman Wendy Dolls. Looks like these new dolls will also come in the new window packaging.

Also being released is the new DC Comics Fashion Squad. The first in this new line are The Penguin, the Joker, and Harley Quinn. They look amazing.

 

Also on display was an original Alice in Wonderland Madame Alexander doll. Beautiful.

And, although there wasn’t any concept art or dolls on display, there was a tease that Madame Alexander will be making collectibles for Disney’s upcoming movie BFG. Interested in seeing what they some up with.
