Disney Fandaze
The major gossip in the Disneyland Paris community the last few days surrounds Disney FanDaze. These are some new experiences for long term fans of the resort. It’s certainly an interesting idea. But despite the announcement, and a few other things, we actually know very little. Let’s take a look at the announcement:

“On the heels of the excitement surrounding the 25th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris, the resort is launching a new series of fan experiences, inspired by and created especially for Disney fans around the world. Disney FanDaze is a series of experiences designed to entertain and thrill those who know and love Disney better than anyone else: Disney fans.
There is little doubt that Disney fans are among the most devoted, passionate, and enthusiastic people in the world. Since the inception of Disneyland, the number of fans of Disney theme parks and their beloved Disney Characters, has grown exponentially. Events, festivals, and other celebrations held by and for Disney fans occur daily all across the world.
Since Disneyland Paris opened its gates 25 years ago, Disney fans – from all over Europe and beyond – have been traveling from far and wide to celebrate anniversaries, seasonal festivities and other special events at the European resort. What we know & Final Thoughts
The above announcement doesn’t really tell us much at all despite the length of the text. We know there’s going to be some sort of events involving characters. That’s it. The DisneyFanDaze twitter account has posted some cute visuals but nothing that clues us in really. All we can expect is Disneyland Paris to make a longer announcement on the First of October.
It’s great to see Disneyland Paris trying it’s hardest to capitalize on the 25th and engage it’s long term fans. This is important because it suggests the resort understands the need for repeat visitors. Hopefully FanDaze will encourage multiple trips per year and improve the parks revenue. Overall It speaks to a growing understanding of the fanbase and a willingness to engage with them which is something that has really picked up under Catherine Powell.
