Could A Disney Infinity 3.0 Kylo Ren Light FX Figure Be Coming Soon?
Ever since we first heard about Kylo Ren coming to Disney Infinity 3.0, many Star Wars collectors have been hoping we would see a Light FX version of the Force Awakens villain. Since then, it was clear from the Hall of Galactic Heroes that Kylo Ren’s statue had a space for a Light FX lightsaber, which we saw with other figures like Yoda and Darth Vader.
Since that update went live, Disney Interactive Vice President John Vignocchi spoke with us during a conference call that he simply replied to a question about a Light FX figure saying ” “No comment!”. But he also stated that it could have been a miscommunication between the teams on what pedestal to place in the Hall Of Heroes or the amount of pedestals that were supposed to be placed.
Since then a French retailer, Espace Culturel , shows a listing for a 7th Light FX figure, which has a release date of 29/02/2016, which could easily be a placeholder date or simply a mistake by the retailer. It could also be Ezra, Darth Maul or Ahsoka Tano, who haven’t had the Light FX treatment, Kylo Ren would appear more likely following the Hall of Galactic Heroes pedestal featuring a Light FX space.

If you’ll recall, in the discussion about variants, I said that I was okay with variants as long as they let us know ahead of time. It’s really a mean move to have all of us buy Kylo Ren to simply bring out a Light FX version (that costs more than the original) just a few short months later. I am all for cool variants as long as we can make an informed choice, but keeping us in the dark (no pun intended) just so they can sell more figures, is really really mean.
