Uncle Scrooge #10 Comic Book Review

IDW Publishing kick off 2016 with Uncle Scrooge #10 and this issue features 3 stories, “The Eternal Knot” from Italian Topolino 355, “Wrapped Up In Work” from Dutch Donald Duck 9/2009 and “Love Is Never Having To Say You’re Sentenced” from Danish Anders And & Co. 48/2009, all which are new to the USA.

“The Eternal Knot” is the main story of this issue and focuses on our title hero, Uncle Scrooge, who is worrying about his recent engagement and how it might effect his wealth and a pact he made years ago that results in him tracking down some long lost friends. Another solid Uncle Scrooge story that continues to show readers why money isn’t the route to happiness and it’s an enjoyable read, though maybe slightly longer than required but Uncle Scrooge fans should enjoy it.

“Wrapped Up In Work” was a short story, featuring Gramdma Duck, that is more of a filler and the weakest from this issue but gives us a quick laugh, so it does its job.

My favourite story of this issue was “Love Is Never Having To Say You’re Sentenced”. It was interesting to see a story involving the Beagle Boys that didn’t involve the main characters stopping them in their criminal activities and also trying to turn over a new leaf in a world without crime. It was a lot of fun and I love how these stories can expand the characters.

Overal, Uncle Scrooge #10 is another solid comic with three varied stories, featuring different characters and bringing plenty of fun for old and young readers.
