Woody Revoltech Review

Welcome to our final look at the Toy Story Revoltech collection from Kaiyodo. Today we will be taking a look at Woody. Now this figure has gotten a lot of attention over the internet and has been dubbed Creepy Woody. You will see why in a little bit.

Sculpting 5/5

This is hands down one the best representations of Woody in figure form. The likeness is spot on. All of the details are there from the Sheriff’s badge to the pullstring on his back.

The scarf and belt are both separate pieces that help hide points of articulation. The sculpt on the belt buckle and holster on Woody’s belt are nicely done and properly scaled. The boots even have the cacti sculpted on them. The detailed texture on the pants make them look like a real pair of jeans.

Paint 5/5

The paint apps on Woody are greatly done with all colors screen accurate. All the red lines on Woody’s shirt are neat and clean with no slop. His red scarf has the white pattern print on just as it does in the movie. The black and white line trims on Woody’s vest are all perfect and help give it that stitched look. As with both Buzz and Jessie, Woody has Andy’s name written on the bottom of his foot.

Articulation 5/5

Woody just like the majority of Revoltech figures has a great range of articulation. Woody features the movable eyes that both Buzz and Jessie have. As far as Revoltech joints Woody has them in the head, neck, shoulder, elbows, wrist, waist, hips, knees, and ankles. These help to get Woody into many various poses on your shelf. I would be careful moving the arm near his Sheriff’s badge though as it could possibly damage it.

Accessories 5/5

Woody features some great accessories! Of course there is his hat. No Sheriff should ever be without his hat, and it is nicely sculpted and fits perfectly on his head. He also comes with the name plate with his name and the name of the movie he is from. Also included is a tool to help move the eyes on the face plates. This comes in very handy as the pegs to move his eyes are harder to get to and move unlike the ones on Buzz and Jessie.

Woody also has two extra right hands and two extra left hands. They are all nicely detailed and either help with holding accessories or to help with different posing options.

Woody comes with the microphone that he used it the first movie during the staff meeting. It is nicely done and properly scaled and fits in one of the alternate hands nicely.

Woody also comes with another character, Lenny! He is nicely sculpted and looks exactly like his on screen counterpart. The details are so great you expect to be able to wind him up to let him walk, but sadly the wind up crank on the side is just for looks.

Lenny has a hole on his side to attach Woody’s alternate hand with the peg on the palm. This is a great way to have Woody be able to hold him, but be careful displaying him this way as it makes Woody top heavy.

There is also an alternate hand for Buzz included so he can hold Lenny too. It works the same way as Woody’s.

Lastly there is the alternate face. This face has made this figure of Woody famous across the internet. It has been featured in many images and memes and has become known as Creeper Woody. The face is based off the scene where Woody starts laughing after he mocks Buzz with the line “BUZZ, LOOK! AN ALIEN!” It is pretty accurate to the scene, but taken out of context it is pretty creepy. Especially if you add in the fact that the eyes are movable and can be rolled all the way back like the Undertaker from WWE.

Overall 5/5

Overall this is one of the best collectibles of Woody outside of the Toy Story Collection doll or the expensive Medicom Replica.

If you are a fan of Toy Story or Woody this is a must have. The details are all there that it looks as if he stepped right off of the screen. You can get a wide variety of poses out of him. With the addition of the alternate face you can get a lot of comical poses out of him that would surely be a conversation starter once spotted on your shelf.

For the collection as a whole Woody is definitely the best and if you can only get one he is the best choice. I would recommend getting all three though if you can. As they all look nice together on the shelf.
