Unofficial Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds Tribute At Hollywood Studios.

If you’re headed out to the parks today, be on the lookout for a lot of extra Leia lookalikes as more than 1,000 fans have stated their intent to attend an all day tribute at Hollywood studios. The day will culminate with a lightsaber tribute at 6:30 pm in the courtyard. The event is being coordinated by a fan named Katie Shuman, and has over 4,500 people “interested” on Facebook!

Fans of both the late Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds are being urged to “Disneybound” (Or dress in a likeness similar to one of their characters) as they spend the day with an itinerary of events:

10am – Meet in the courtyard by the Chinese theater

12:20-1:20 – Ride Star Tours

2pm – Get a group picture in the courtyard

3:30 – Watch ‘Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away’ Show

5pm – 6pm Ride the Great Movie Ride

6:30pm – Lightsaber vigil in the courtyard

Disney World themselves have not acknowledged the event, and while the recent rule changes mean no one over the age of 12 can dress in a full costume, the event is similar to other “Dapper Day” events where guests dress fancier-than-normal for the day.
