Full Throttle Remastered Coming Out On PC & PS4

A remake of LucasArts Full Throttle Remastered is set to be released in April on PS4, PS Vita and PC.

Released by LucasArts in 1995, Full Throttle is a classic adventure game from industry legend Tim Schafer, telling the story of Ben Throttle; butt-kicking leader of biker gang the Polecats, who gets caught up in a tale of Motorcycles, Mayhem, and Murder.

Now more than 20 years later, Full Throttle is back in a remastered edition featuring all new hand-drawn and 3D high-resolution artwork, with remastered audio and music. Players can switch back and forth between classic and remastered modes, and mix and match audio, graphics, and user interface to their heart’s desire. We’ve also included a concept art browser, and recorded a commentary track with the game’s original creators.

Sony have announced the game is part of its new Play Collective, offering 20% off preorders to PS Plus members.

Here are the details on the PC release:

The classic adventure is now available for pre-orders only on GOG.com with a 20% discount alongside more Double Fine games on sale.

Double Fine Productions and GOG.com – the Gang Of Gamers behind the digital distribution platform where great classics and exciting new releases cross paths – are pleased to announce the start of exclusive pre-orders for Full Throttle Remastered.

During pre-orders, gamers can save 20% off the 14.99 USD / 10.99 GBP / 14.99 EUR / 14.99 AUD base price.

One of the GOG.com community’s most wishlisted games, Full Throttle is a classic graphic adventure originally released by LucasArts in 1995. After over 20 years, Tim Schafer – industry legend and the game’s lead designer, is telling the story of motorcycles, mayhem and murder once again.

The remake will feature all-new, high-resolution, hand drawn artwork alongside remastered audio and music. Just like previously-remastered point’n’click classics like Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle, the adventures of Ben Throttle can also be relived in their original form like it’s 1995. The release will also include a concept art browser with work from Peter Chan, as well as an in-game commentary by the game’s original creators.

Full Throttle Remastered now has an official release date – gamers around the world will be kick starting their virtual choppers and hitting the road on April 18th.

To celebrate the exclusive pre-order of Full Throttle Remastered, GOG.com launched a 6-day long sale on other Double Fine Productions games, including Grim Fandango Remastered (-80%), Broken Age (-80%), Day of the Tentacle Remastered (-66%), and more.
