Hong Kong Disneyland Celebrating Its 12th Anniversary
On September 12th, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is turning 12 and to mark this special occasion, Disney friends are planning a spectacular “Surprise Birthday Party.” From September 1st to 14th, there will be all kinds of enchanting surprises, themed F&B offerings and over 60 12th anniversary-themed merchandise items, as well as unexpected encounters in the park. Also, be sure to visit the park and collect a limited-edition 12th Anniversary Birthday Button on September 12 while supplies last! This is a celebratory event Hong Kong Disneyland fans will not want to miss.
Celebrate the resort’s 12th birthday with delectable sweets inspired by Disney friends. A collection of 12th Anniversary Cupcakes will be presented at Royal Banquet Hall in Fantasyland. These cupcakes are inspired by 12 Disney friends including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Duffy, ShellieMay, Gelatoni and their newest friend StellaLou are also baking their own scrumptious cupcakes to spread the joy of the 12th anniversary! Guests can enjoy their favorite character cupcake at HK$45 each or purchase the 12th Anniversary Cupcakes in six or 12-piece box sets to share the joy of the park’s anniversary with friends and family, while stock lasts.
During the 14-day birthday celebration, guests can enjoy a vast array of dining options too! Choose from 12 elegant dishes and grab a 12th Anniversary Cheese Cake at either Main Street Corner Cafe hosted by Coca-Cola®, Royal Banquet Hall or Explorer’s Club Restaurant. Be sure to buy a 12th Anniversary Chocolate Cookie at an Outdoor Vending Cart to join in the birthday cheer. The resort’s magical array of delightful snacks will add lots of memorable surprises to this one-of-a-kind birthday party! During the “Surprise Birthday Party,” Disney friends will be hard at work preparing all kinds of birthday surprises in the park’s restaurants. Dressed in their chef outfits with 12th anniversary commemorative gold medals, Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto will make surprise appearances at selected restaurants, delighting guests while they are dining. Duffy the Disney Bear will also appear at Main Street Corner Cafe Hosted by Coca-Cola® to snap photos with dining guests!
Photo-taking opportunities will be everywhere in the park! At Royal Banquet Hall in Fantasyland, a 12-layer, six-foot-tall birthday cake display will feature different Disney friends on every layer of the cake wishing the park a happy birthday. Guests can also take photos of the amazing 12th anniversary decorations at Royal Banquet Hall and Explorer’s Club Restaurant. Fun themed props are also on hand for extra-special photos while celebrating with friends and family.
In yet another celebratory surprise, guests visiting the park on September 12 will receive a collectable Hong Kong Disneyland Resort “12th Anniversary Birthday Button” while supplies last.
Over 60 special 12th anniversary-themed merchandise items have also been launched to mark this special occasion, including a great variety of apparel, accessories, home and décor items, stationery, gift sets, plush toys, key chains, pins and more. Some of these items feature the “Disney in the Stars” fireworks along display with Sleeping Beauty Castle.
