X-Men, Deadpool & Fantastic Four Returning To Marvel

With today’s announcement of Disney purchasing 21st Century Fox, it has now been confirmed that Marvel will regain the movie rights to the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool.

The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love.

This could lead the way for these characters to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however this might not happen straight away as the deal has to be finalised. And if they do join the MCU, will they all be recast with a complete reboot?

The deal would also bring all the previously released X-Men and Fantastic Four movies and TV shows into their future streaming platform.

More details are expected to be announced from Fox and Disney during some investor calls today.
