Star Wars: Force Collection Closing Down

Konami have announced that they will be closing down its Star Wars: Force Collection app in April.  The Star Wars: Force Collection is a digital card game that was released on September 4th, 2013 and was released on the iOS and Android devices.

Game Closure Announcement

Since STAR WARS™: FORCE COLLECTION launched in September 2013, we have had a wonderful time providing you, the players, with the best gaming experience possible. However, we will be discontinuing service for the game on April 23, 2018 01:59 (ET).

Leading up to that date, we will continue to hold events and campaigns to say “thank you” to all of our loyal and valued fans out there in the galaxy. More updates will be provided through in-app announcements.

As of today, we have ended sales of 5,000 and 10,000 Crystal Sets, and will be discontinuing sales of all remaining Crystal Sets on March 8th, 2018 at 00:59 (ET).

    There should be some explanation to those of us who have spent considerable resources, as to why the game is closing. Why close down such a lucrative business?

  • I’m guessing it might not be so lucrative…. or a license is running out
