PhatMojo DuckTales Scrooge McDuck Action Figure Review

Awhile back we took a look at the Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby figures by PhatMojo. Today we continue our review of the line with the World’s Richest Duck, Scrooge McDuck. Let’s get right to it shall we!

Packaging 4.5/5

The packaging is the same as the two two packs. It has a great image of Scrooge on the front . It does a great job showing off the figure and the accessories. The back is exactly the same as the two packs also and shows off the rest of the figures in the line.

Sculpt 3.5/5

The sculpt on Scrooge is pretty good. He looks just like he popped out of the cartoon, but there is a one thing holding him back. That is the belt area of his waist coat. There is a big gap in the area. This isn’t a one off thing either as it is present on every one I have seen. His top hat is sculpted on and is not removable. It’s scaled perfectly and isn’t over or under sized.

Paint 4/5

The paint on Scrooge is pretty good and there is no sloppy areas. The outlines around the eyes really help give him that cartoon look. There is a couple of problems though. The first being the red on his arm being a completely different shade of red than the rest of his coat and other arm. The other problem isn’t as major and is just a nitpick. It has to do with his glasses. I wish they had painted the sides black instead of the same color as his beak.

Articulation 3.5/5

Scrooge has the same articulation as the rest of the figures. Ball jointed head, cut shoulders and hips. It helps get him in a few different poses, but the waist coat limits the hip movement. It would have been nice to have articulation in the elbows also.

Accessories 4/5

Scrooge comes with two accessories. Both are pretty nicely done, but he can really only hold one in his hands.

Overall 4/5

It’s a pretty good figure that has a couple of faults, but is a nice addition to any DuckTales collection. He scales nicely with the other figures in the line. I am sure kids will have a lot of fun creating their own adventures with this figure.

Stay tuned as next up we will take a look at Donald Duck!
