Review: Hasbro’s Frozen II Small Doll Collection

Today’s the day! Frozen II is out in theaters here in the US. In conjunction with the release, I’m taking a look at more of what Hasbro has released for the movie. Here is a look at some of the Small Doll sets coming out this fall. I personally would not call them “dolls”, but rather limited articulation action figures. However, I could also see how by calling them small dolls, they would appeal more to the girl demographic, and keeping to the theme of Hasbro’s Disney Princess & Frozen lines.

Single Doll Pack

First up is one of the single pack dolls. Honeymaren is a new character in the movie, from the tribe of the Enchanted Forest. Not much is known about this tribe prior to this adventure. What mystery lies in store?

As with most of the dolls in this collection, Honeymaren has articulation in the waist, shoulders, and neck.

Story Moments Set

Next, here is one of the Story Moments. The “Family Set” consists of young Anna and Elsa with their mom, Queen Iduna, and Olaf. We find out considerably more about Anna and Elsa’s parents in this movie, especially the Queen… so it is not surprising that she makes an appearance here in toy form.

The Queen has similar articulation to Honeymaren. The girls have no articulation at the waist, and Olaf has neck articulation.

Adventure Collection

The last set to look at is the large Adventure Collection, which includes Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, Olaf, and the Wind Spirit, Gale. I love that they included the “character” of Gale, especially since the animators had to create a new animation program to bring “her” to life. My favorite figure in this collection, by far, is Sven. He looks pretty awesome.

Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff have normal articulation like Honeymaren and the Queen. Olaf and Sven have neck articulation. Gale has no articulation.

These are some really fun “dolls” for kids to play with and reenact scenes from the movie. I saw the movie last night, after taking pics for the review, and I found myself looking back at the pics today and reliving some of the movie in my mind, which was nice. Overall, a great line from Hasbro.

Special thanks again to the team from Hasbro for sending all of these Frozen II items for me to review. I really appreciate the love.
