Darth Vader Star Wars LEGO Brickheadz (41619) Review

The latest LEGO Star Wars Brickheadz release is Darth Vader, which includes his black helmet, armored suit and cape. He also comes with a detachable red Lightsaber.

This design is based on his appearance from Empire Strikes Back and following the release of many Star Wars Brickheadz based on the new movies, its nice to see LEGO going into the archive to give us some classic characters.

One of the key points of this Brickhead is how the shinny black bricks help portray that classic look while using the Brickheadz art style.  I love that this set comes with four different unique pieces, that are printed onto the pieces directly rather than using stickers.  From the front, Darth Vader looks very impressive, since these unique pieces set it apart from any others in the range.  I’m not a big fan of the way the eyes I have been done, I’d have liked to have used the usual Brickheadz eyes, though thankfully I have a few spares from other sets to use instead.  Another cool aspect is the red lightsaber accessory, which is a nice touch.

With a low price point of around $10, this set does offer some great value, especially compared to other products in a similar category like a Pop Vinyl or Mighty Mugg.
