Toy Fair 2020 Highlight: Disney Board Games by Ravensburger

Last year, the team over at Ravensburger won the Toy of the Year Best Game Award for their Disney Board Game, Villainous. This year saw them expanding on that line, and being a Finalist for the same award, as well as introducing a couple new Disney-themed games. Let’s check them out.

Marvel Villainous

I could not take any other pictures aside from this one, but Marvel Villainous is forthcoming. Shown in this picture are markers from Hera from Thor: Ragnarok, and Thanos and Ultron from the Avengers movies. Gameplay will be similar to the Disney Villainous games.

Jungle Cruise Adventure Game

Based on the fan-favorite attraction at the Disney Parks (and not the upcoming movie), this board game is filled with Easter Eggs and nods to the popular ride. Goal of the game? Be the Skipper who gets to the end fastest with the most guests still alive. Throughout your journey, the jungle, and other Skippers, are out to get you.

This game will be released this summer, along with a Disney Parks exclusive version, that will have details of the gameboard, game pieces, and more enhanced to a higher quality.

Hocus Pocus the Game

In this co-op game, players join forces to match the correct cards and cast the correct spells to stop the Sanderson Sisters from awakening again. However, the sisters’ powers are finding ways to trick you along the way.

This game is due out late this summer.

For more information on these games, and more, when they become available, check out the Ravensburger website.

This looks pretty cool! I’d like to see a STAR WARS Villainous game next that would either involve The Sith, The Galactic Empire, The First Order, the Separatists of the Clone Wars era, or Scum and Villainy in general!

  • That would be pretty cool! I would be on board for a Star Wars version, and if the Marvel one does well, I could see the door possibly being open.
