Ride Relaunch Leads to Little Golden Books Title

It’s been only a week since Big Thunder Mountain Railroad reopened from a full track replacement and updated show scenes, a process taking 16 months. Now, the “wildest ride in the wilderness” is getting some love from a classic children’s book line, with a Little Golden Book announcing that a new storybook based on the ride will debut July 7.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad joins books based on Jungle Cruise (2021), it’s a small world (2021), The Haunted Mansion (2021), Space Mountain (2022), The Orange Bird (2022), Pirates of the Caribbean (2023), Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (2024), Figment (2024), and Disneyland Is Your Land! (2025). Reprints include the 2022 reissue of 1997 title Mickey’s Walt Disney World Adventure, and 1955’s Little Man of Disneyland: A Change of Luck, in 2023.
