Disney Store’s Return to USA Underway in Pittsburgh
The first location of Disney Store Limited Time is under construction at Ross Park Mall, just north of Pittsburgh.
Memorial Day weekend has been announced for the grand unveiling, May 23. The store is rather narrow and deep, unlike the usual wider fronts of the previous, corporate-owned chain. The unit they’ve chosen is almost directly above a LEGO store.
This isn’t the first time that Disney Store has had a location in this shopping centre. They first opened on Friday, August 25, 1995.
In addition to the video from a YouTuber, below, here’s a comment from Annie at Wishing on a Star Travel, LLC:
Here is what I can tell you. The store is on the Macy’s end of the mall, on the 2nd floor. If you are coming straight out of Macy’s it will be on you right. It’s between Anne Taylor Loft and Capital One Cafe. The blackout paper is up so there was very little I could see, but it didn’t appear that any inventory or decor have started going up yet.
Hopefully the angles were just limiting. Pop-ups by their nature will have less investment than permanent stores, but this sounds rather minimalist for 20 days out. Hopefully they’ve been busy in the last week, since Annie took a peek!
