Dean Norris Coming to Fan Expo Canada

There’s very little connection between Disney and Dean Norris, but I couldn’t resist posting delightfully silly Instagram post from 2023, captioned “The happiest place on earth.”

Norris was newly announced as a guest at Fan Expo Canada 2026, Canada’s largest pop culture convention. Sister convention Fan Expo Philadelphia surprised him with a print out of the post, recently, and he’s seemingly quite ebullient in real life.

His Disney roles include Mazzimo, the older brother of Sofia the First‘s flying horse Minimus, Zamboni Tony on Big City Greens, a guest appearance on ABC’s Lost, and a part in 2011 teen comedy Prom.

Fan Expo Canada is 85 days away, from August 27 to 30, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Forty of his 150 screen roles have been as law enforcement, most notably DEA agent Hank Schrader on Breaking Bad. In particular, I loved him as “Big Jim” Rennie on Under the Dome. His decades of roles go back to features like 1989’s Lethal Weapon 2, 1990’s Total Recall, and 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
