America 250 Celebrated with Behind the Scenes Videos

Disney’s been sharing a ton of America-related content the last few days, for the United States’ semiquincentennial.

It’s surprising how personal and moving the cast reflections are in the nearly half-hour long Behind the Voices of Liberty: A Celebration of Song and Country. Disney Parks talks to both current and past Voices, back to the beginning, and others, including members of the Armed Services.

The opening of The American Adventure was marked with a television special about the creation of the stage presentation. But otherwise, views behind the scenes have been rare. Walt Disney Imagineering has newly brought a look at the technological marvel that is still amazing four decades after its debut.

Spark into a Flame: Hamilton & Hip Hop brings fresh interviews from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Alex Macamoire, opening cast and former staff of A&R Records, as well as a bevy of heavy-hitters like Questlove, Nas, and Common. The amount of work into the film, it’s surprising that this wasn’t a full-length documentary release on Disney+, or at least a few minutes longer to air as a half hour on television. It’s a wonderful tribute to the musical on the tenth anniversary of The Hamilton Mixtape.

A few days ago, Sam the Eagle from The Muppets toured about some of the patriotism on display at the parks.

There’s also a general tribute to 250 from Disney overall:

The new National Geographic Museum of Exploration has a show of red, white, and blue images. It was featured as part of today’s Disney Celebrates America 250, a marathon 24-hour television special:

Another segment forom the program, ABC Schoolhouse Rock is featured:
