Print Still Matters: Praise for The Unofficial Guide to Disney Cruise Line 2026
The web is absolutely flooded with information about Disney Cruise Line, and all of them (likely) are free. There’s also thousands of videos on YouTube and TikTok. So why would you spend $22.99 on a book?
I borrowed a copy of The Unofficial Guide to Disney Cruise Line 2026 recently, from my local library. I was flabbergasted how complete it was, exceeding the Fodor’s of yore, yet the information was concise and to the point.
Beyond being current and complete, I think that’s exactly the key difference with this book: article tend to diverge to show more ads, videos tend to go long to allow more ad spots on YouTube. The Unofficial Guide disposes with the fluff, and gets immediately to the heart of the matter.
It’s also so well organized, you can easily flip to the section, as opposed to hoping that Google or AI provides the same sources as your last search, or that you can scrub to the right part of a video. Boom, you’re jumping from the deck maps to the info on Edna À La Mode’s Sweets, to the section on watching live sports while aboard, to the section on highlights of things to do around your departure ports, without fuss.
It also has a variety of sections for specialized interests like cruisers with accessibility concerns, who are introverted, who have dietary restrictions, want to smoke aboard, “Friends of Bill W.” (members of Alcoholics Anonymous), and LGBTQ+ travellers, among others. It would be darned hard to not find an answer to your questions in this book.
Unofficial Guides also posts updates online, and time that things change after publication.
If you plan to go on a Disney cruise and value your time, this resource is a 438-page bargain.
The official page for the books is here; the 2027 edition is on sale as of December 1, 2027.
