Lore Drop: Pixie Dust is Made by Chip and Dale, Says Upcoming Disney Store

Osaka City’s new Disney Store is opening at Shinsaibashi Parco, on August 26.

According to a press release, this store will be the first to feature the theme of “magical journey,” with Mickey as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice discovering a magical book. The store will be encircled with a Train of Wonder, though it’s not clear if this is an actual model train, statues, or wall art. Stitch is the engineer, and Chip and Dale are “helping to make pixie dust, which is the fuel for the steam locomotive.” Who knew, that’s a huge Pixie Hollow lore drop.

There’ll be opening day exclusives, as usual, and any first day visits require reservations through the Disney Store Club app.

Meanwhile, the Disney Flagship Tokyo Japan Tour is in Goshogawara City, at the ELM shopping mall until August 31. It’ll then move to Aeon Mall Asahikawa West, in Hokkaido, where it will operate from September 10 to October 4.

A Marvel Assemble! pop up store will operate at ELM until August 30, by Small Planet.

Just two days ago, Tokyo Disneyland announced a raft of changes coming to Tomorrowland, including the Wreck-It Ralph ride Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, and the replacement of Space Mountain with the all-new ride Space Mountain: Earthrise.
