Disney Princess Experience to Tour North America: D23

Disney Theatrical Group’s announcement at D23 this year is a new interactive called Disney Princess Experience.

The touring attraction will tour through North America, and possibly the world, according to the Disney cast on stage. Dates and locations are to be announced in the near future, but there’s no hint of whether this begins later this year, some point in 2027, or beyond.

Ryan McCartan (Disney on Broadway’s Prince Hans) introduced the reveal, comparing it to a series of escape rooms you don’t want to escape. There’ll be about thirty people per group, to allow for a relatively intimate and immersive adventure. The attraction is themed to Rapunzel, Tiana, Belle, Moana, and Ariel, according to a Disney news post, however Cinderella did appear in on-stage graphic.

They describe the tour as being live entertainment, but it’s unclear whether the princesses will be actors or animation.

Unanswered is who’s taking this show on the road. Using the QR codes at the event, the signup form I went to had a second screen mentioning Mundo Pixar Experience. That’s a tour by Golden Peak Live Entertainment, currently in London and Tokyo, with a stop in Taiwan coming soon, as well as a United States tour next year.

But the official website of Disney Princess Experience says “Produced by TPE Global, LLC.” A company out of Fort Worth, Texas with that name recently “forfeited existence,” and the top Google result for the name offered services to manufacturers, but their site is dead.

Whatever the case, Disney Theatrical Group has overseen the experience, so fingers crossed.

It’s also unclear whether this will be set up in existing buildings, like Mundo Pixar Experience or Marvel: Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.: The Experience, or a temporary structure as promotional graphics suggest.
