Review: Mr. Toad Dorbz Ride (NYCC Exclusive)

For today’s review, I take a look at one of this year’s New York Comic Con exclusives. Only available at the convention (ie. not a shared exclusive), the Mr. Toad Dorbz Ridez features Mr. Toad of The Wind in the Willows fame as he appears in the Disney Theme Parks Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride attraction in Disneyland.

Limited to 750 pieces in total, a removable Mr. Toad is atop one of the attraction’s ride vehicles, which resembles his car in the animated short, which is part of Disney’s The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad packaged feature film.

This is the third in a series of Disney Theme Park Dorbz Ridez, following the Disney Treasures exclusives from The Pirates of the Caribbean and it’s a small world attractions. A second Dorbz Ridez exclusive from it’s a small world is supposed to pop up in the theme parks one day… but who knows when that will be.

Overall, I am a Disney Parks “nut”, and Mr. Toad’s Wide Ride is one of my favorite attractions of all time (I am still bitter that they removed it from Walt Disney World). for me, this was a must buy, and I was excited that I tracked him down while at New York Comic Con. Unfortunately, he is only available post-convention in the secondary market, such as eBay. Still, he is still considerably affordable for those that really want to add him to their Disney collection.

Note: The actual review has been delayed because the merchandise box that this was in got misplaced since the convention and was just recently found.
