Easter Basket Gift Ideas from Hasbro

With Easter just over a week away, our friends over at Hasbro have some great gift ideas to include in your kids’ Easter baskets. The team over at Hasbro were kind enough to send a few of these items over for me to highlight and review for the holiday. Let’s take a look.

FURREAL CUTIES Assortment

(Ages 4 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $7.99/Available: Now)

Kids will love to hold and cuddle their adorable, FURREAL CUTIES assortment right in the palm of their hand! Each plush FURREAL CUTIE assortment has a touch-sensitive bottom which triggers adorable sounds when held in the palm of a hand. Perfectly plush and travel-sized, FURREAL CUTIES are the ultimate on-the-go pet! Kids will love to collect BUNNY, CHICK, KITTY, DOG, TIGER and HAMSTER pets, each sold separately. Requires two “A76” batteries, demo batteries included.

The dog that Hasbro sent over to me is so, so cute. Soft and cuddly, it did make some fun yipping noises, similar to a puppy, when held in my hand. Little kids would love these I feel.

DreamWorks TROLLS COLLECTIBLES Assortment

(Ages 4 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $4.99/Available: Now)

Collect all new DreamWorks TROLLS friends, each standing five inches tall and featuring their own unique look and fashion, and comes complete with a critter friend from theTrolls: The Beat Goes On! Netflix series. In the Spring, fans can collect QUEEN POPPY, NOVA SWIFT, or GIA GROOVES characters. In the Fall, collect ARCHER PASTRY, MADDY or BELLA BRIGHTLY characters. Each sold separately.

For the Trolls Assortment, I got Branch, who admittedly is one of my more favorite characters from the franchise. I really like his look, expression, and stance. The biggest issue I had was with the critter, of which I could not mount on Branch’s hand as indicated in the packaging photo. I was finally able to get it to stay on his hand in a different position, enough for me to snap a photo. So, the critter element did not work, but it’s still a fun little figure.

DISNEY PRINCESS LITTLE KINGDOM MAGICAL MOVERS Assortment

(Ages 4 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $7.99/Available: Now)

The DISNEY PRINCESS LITTLE KINGDOM MAGICAL MOVERS assortment is all about doll-powered play and magical moments! Kids can charge the doll and use her energy to activate exciting play movements. Put the doll on the included base, pull the string to charge the doll, then place on a hard, flat surface, and watch her twirl and twirl! Collect ARIEL & RAPUNZEL in the spring and MULAN & SNOW WHITE in the fall. Each doll sold separately.

Earlier this year, I reviewed some of the rest of this collection, including the Rapunzel from this assortment, as well as the Cinderella and Belle play sets. I like that I got Ariel from Hasbro to compliment the Rapunzel I got before. Ariel’s charge base shows off her treasure trove of gadgets and gizmos, whosits and whatsits, while she is in a combination mermaid/ human ballgown. Looking forward to more of this collection coming out later this year.

BEYBLADE BURST EVOLUTION SWITCHSTRIKE Starter Pack

(Ages 8 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $12.99/Available: Now)

Start collecting, customizing and competing with the BEYBLADE BURST EVOLUTION SWITCHSTRIKE starter pack. SWITCHSTRIKE tops are engineered with new BEYBLADE Tech that lets kids switch up their striking powers and customize the course of battle. Battle your friends and watch your tops “burst” into pieces (burst rates vary). Scan the code on the BEYBLADE BURST SWITCHSTRIKE top’s Energy Layer to unleash the top and mix and match with other components in the BEYBLADE BURST app. Includes one BEYBLADE BURST SWITCHSTRIKE right/left-spin launcher and one BEYBLADE BURST SWITCHSTRIKE top.

I will admit, I know next to nothing about Beyblade. Unlike the Disney Princess Magical Movers Ariel, I could not get a decent picture of the top actually spinning. Still, the top spun great, and I like how you can launch it in two different directional spins, and the customization factor is pretty cool. I can see these being very popular with boys especially, given the “burst” factor, as I remember loving as a kid toys that came apart when you rammed them into one another. Fun stuff.

Overall, Hasbro has some fun items to bring extra excitement to Easter baskets this year. If you are interested in picking up any of these items, check out your local retailers, or you can visit HasbroToyShop.com.

Special thanks again to the team from Hasbro for sending these little guys over for me to highlight. So much fun.
